about

It is a rare thing to find a band that is influenced by so many different genres and has the ability to show them in one album. 4Element is such a band. Throughout the album you feel you are relaxing over a drink at a jazz bar only to be softly transitioned into a hard edged heavy metal melody that trashes you around the room.

The album opens with a slow jazz bass riff and a melodic guitar ("Ducks On The Wall"). It then tackles subjects as varied as love ("Corvette Amazon"), big media propaganda ("Fake Talk"), warped mind ("Insane Madness") and a child's abandonment ("Father's Day"). And in the middle of all of it is a good dose of instrumentals ("Mid Century Sky Jump" & "Seasons") to let your mind fly through the ether.

You can tell that 4Element prides itself on dynamics, beautiful melodies and massive sounds for good measure. This is definitely the album for the living spirit that listens to music deeply with their mind and heart wide open.

Track Name: Corvette Amazon
She was a corvette Amazon
A spark in the night
Driving lonesome Texas road
As fast as the light
She had no fear, she was so free
A shooting star striking so far
The night is bleeding
She was so fast, she was a blast
A snaky light tearing up the night
The sky is crying

Oh, Corvette Amazon
Angel's heart in a rocking soul
A free spirit in a rolling mind

She was a corvette Amazon
A knight on her ride
A satellite lost on the edge
As sharp as her pride
She was the sword leading a horde
Three hundred some horses power

The road is shaking
She was a kind of hurricane
Going somewhere as from nowhere
The road is quaking

Oh, Corvette Amazon
Angel's heart in a rocking soul
A free spirit in a rolling mind
Track Name: Fake Talk
Woke up this morning with a taste of TV BS.
Smells like fake talk trash stuffed deep down my eyes.
My ears are bleeding with that noise and lie
It's only eMpTyV and unreal reality shows.

In the street, bipeds fake talking
Hunting on gray matter.
Noise drilling my ears to get my mind contaminated.
People everywhere fake talking in unison as loud
As the deafening silence of a superficial relationship.

The day is ending, fake talk keeps going
Words still screaming in my skull
I can't hear a thing anymore.
So shut up, shut up,
I can't hear you, I can't hear you
I can't hear you, I can't hear you...
Track Name: Father's Day
You ran away as soon as I was born
Leaving me alone in the storm
You turned off the light on my life
Like a shadow dying in the dark
Alone I had to learn
How to dance on the rope
So many times I fell
Without a strength to hold my hand
I've got your blood
Maybe your face
Still I wonder how
Do you feel now
I can forgive
But I can't forget
I cannot hate
But I can't ignore you.

You chose to turn your back at the mirror
Leaving me alone with a host
In a white glove you erased your mistake
Strangling the first cry in the silence
So many times I cried
Without a shoulder to lean on
Alone I had to guess
Why I've been slapped in the face
I've got your blood
Maybe your face
Still I wonder how
Do you feel now
I can forgive
But I can't forget
I cannot hate
But I can't ignore you.
